HA Conference 2020: call for papers

15-16 May 2020, Bristol Marriott Hotel City Centre

We are pleased to open a call for papers for the Historical Association Annual Conference 2020, which will be taking place on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 May at the Bristol Marriott Hotel City Centre.

The HA Annual Conference is an enriching weekend of history which brings together people who share a love for learning about the past, whether through formal education or lifelong learning. In addition to our fantastic keynotes from leading historians, the conference contains specialist pathways for primary teachers, secondary teachers, general history workshops and walks and visits – and this year for the first time will have a dedicated stream for Initial Teacher Education (ITE). You can take a look at the 2019 programme below.

If you would like to get involved with presenting an education workshop this year, submit a copy of the session proposal form via the SurveyMonkey link below before Monday 30 September 2019.

Academics wishing to present a talk for the general pathway should contact Rebecca Sullivan at ceo@history.org.uk.

If you have any questions about the conference or process please contact enquiries@history.org.uk. If you’re interested in attending the conference as a delegate rather than a presenter, simply register your interest via email to events@history.org.uk.
