HA Delegate Breakout Session

Leading subject experts

As always, the HA Annual Conference attracts expert speakers from across the history community, including leading historians in their field. At the 2024 Conference, we are pleased to welcome William Dalrymple, the hugely acclaimed historian, writer, curator and broadcaster, as one of the keynote speakers. Penelope Harnett will deliver the Dawson Lecture and Alex Walsham, HA President and Professor of Modern History at the University of Cambridge, will open the Conference.

Amazing content

The Conference programme is designed to meet the key issues affecting the history community. It includes a great line-up of speakers and sessions on a range of historical periods and themes, as well as visits and walking tours.

For those in schools, there are opportunities to develop your subject knowledge, curriculum thinking and pedagogy in a subject-specific way, with a strong emphasis in the programme on previously underrepresented histories and inclusive approaches.
